Original story: You're probably well aware that the Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S all feature mouse and keyboard support in certain games, but you might not be aware of how far it extends, with over 100 games supporting it! I beg you. Some of these games only feature limited support, which means they might only work with keyboard or mouse, or might also require a controller to progress through the menus.Īs always, if you spot any other games with M&K support, please do tell us in the comments below! So we can move at gradual speed in any direction. Please give me a one handed thumb stick for the left hand. Even an iPhone does better than this crap. You can't make a proper 3D game with such controller. The fucking W key is still on the wrong side? Do gamers really do so much typing that fixing this would be an issue?ĭon't get me started on console 'gamepads', as that's even worse. Those keys really are hard to find while gazing at the screen, you know? But: Costs more, with shiny leds, and colored WASD keys.Īwesome. But then this: They make 'gaming keyboards'. ![]() I gave up, being to lazy to configure.įine. Knots in fingers.īut they broke my resistance. ![]() Probably that's why my guitar skills have decreased. Your hand comes from the left, but the W key is right above the S key. I was very upset when the industry forced me to use shitty WASD keys instead cursor keys. I kinda feel weird with a gamepad in my hands.ĭoes anyone else play with arrow keys or is it just me? The gaming mouse has 12 buttons and everything else works for me.Įven games like Gotham Knights that are meant for the gamepad play relatively fine with kb/m, with some limitations, although it also has advantages. Then I set the jump (it's usually set to Space key) to Right Ctrl, running to Right Shift, and I don't miss the WASD system at all. Luckily with arrow keys I dodge with awesome cunning and evasiveness. I have remapped the directional and strafe keys to the directional keys, and I have master reis moments this way. In fact, if I have no choice and must use WASD, switching to a gamepad is the only way for certain games to become viable for me. If I use the W,A,S,D system, it's horrible how difficult dodging -strafing- becomes for me. I don't have super super big fingers, but to me they are asymmetrical keys, they don't line up perfectly. Some bosses are impossible to dodge if I use the WASD. Not much time ago I started to replay Doom 3 and it can be a tough game. It was around the mid 2003 to 2005 when the use of the keyboard started to change and many games started to use the W,A,S,D system? Or was it always that way and I am mistaken? It is true that it has some advantages, for certain commands, especially if you have a typical 2 button mouse, but other than that I don't get used to it. ![]() I was doing relatively well that way even with the limitations of a keyboard for some genres. From racing games to the typical fps, platforms, fighting even - making a hadouken was "easier" for me that way but slow. ![]() Since I had my first PC and games back in the late 90s, I used the directional keys of the keyboard to play a lot of games.
